Principal Staff Engineer (Platform)

We are looking for a Principal Staff Engineer to lead our multi-stack Tech Leads and own the evolution of our internal platform.

In this role, you aren’t just managing infrastructure; you are building the "Operating System" of our company. 

The Mission:

As the Principal Staff Engineer, you will bridge the gap between the Platform Lead’s strategy and technical execution. You will lead Tech Leads across various stacks, ensuring high engineering standards while directly overseeing the development of our internal "Product Suite."

Your domain includes owning and scaling:

1. Unified Authentication: A centralized IAM and SSO solution for all internal and external services.
2. Image & Media Storage: A high-availability, globally distributed asset management service.
3. Notification Engine: A unified service for multi-channel alerts (webhooks, push, email, SMS).
4. A/B Testing & Feature Toggling: A robust platform for controlled rollouts and experimentation.
5. Observability Solution: Advanced monitoring, tracing, and logging to ensure 99.99% uptime.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the Leaders: Manage, mentor, and hire Tech Leads across different tech stacks, ensuring cross-team alignment and developer happiness.
• Productize the Platform: Treat internal services as products - gathering requirements from product teams and delivering high-quality, documented APIs.
• Architectural Oversight: Drive the design of scalable, production-grade distributed systems (AWS/Kubernetes).
• Reduce Cognitive Load: Evangelize DevEx (Developer Experience) to ensure our engineers spend time on business logic, not boilerplate or infra hurdles.
• Operational Excellence: Own the standards for CI/CD, IaC, and reliability across all platform services.

What We’re Looking For:

• Leadership Experience: 2+ years leading engineering teams or managing other leads/managers.
• Engineering Excellence: 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a heavy focus on backend systems and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Product Mindset: You don't just build "tools"; you build "services" with clear SLAs, documentation, and user-centric design.
• Deep Tech Stack Knowledge:

Strong proficiency in Golang.

Expert-level knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.

Experience building distributed systems (Auth, Storage, or Event-driven architectures).

Good understanding of AI Agentic Development.
